SEPTEMBER RAIN
The freshly dug grave, Filled by the corpse, Of my forever lost friend. The once thick dust of soil, Now a water of rich brown, In the cold September rain. On the pearl white gravestone, The words echo aloud, My beloved one, rest in peace, Encircled by the winged angel etched, Crying the tears, In the cold September rain. I stand here alone, hours past, Detached from the world, I must now live without you. Drained of all emotion, The torrential downpour masking the tears, In the cold September rain. My figure stood in ruin, By your figure now deceased. Alone, lost in mourning, In need of salvation, Praying to be rescued, In the cold September rain.
