In high school, I wrote lyrics. I started college writing poems and switched to short stories. After college, I discovered I could write computer programs, but I could not finish a novel (kept editing chapter one instead of writing chapter five). Programming, however, zapped my creativity. The systems I wrote are retired or replaced. I’m stuck maintaining waning legacy systems. Creativity has returned. I carve out some time to write.
