The Fleur-de-lis is a symbol that reminds me that Peace begins with me. It is a cleansing and sacred symbol. While it originated in France and is a stylized lily, it holds different meanings to different people and eras. It is often used as a Mark of Cadency. One meaning, which I have always been drawn to is that it indicates the 'mark of something different'. We are all different, in all the best ways.
