Starting 2021 with Optimism
I can't believe that Jan. is drawing to a close. It is true that as you grow older, time does seem to fly by faster. I am very happy that we have a new administration in the White House and I have high hopes that this President will be able to start to make a change in the mess that has been made with the pandemic. I can't imagine taking on all the problems that this awful virus has cost our country and it's citizens. I just pray that people will take the vaccine as it becomes available so we can start to heal and get back to working on the many other things we need to do to make this country a better place for all of us to live.

I feel like I have been so angry at so many people that haven't agreed with me politically and if I have offended anyone with my writings, I am sorry. It is my opinion after all. I just want people to get the right information and not listen to those with an agenda that can harm our citizens.

I truly believe if I spoke to any of you on the conservative side that we could find so many things in common. We love our families, want the best for our children and want them in school. We all want decent health care and freedom to believe whatever religion we want to believe. We think the assault on our Capital Building on Jan 6, 2021 was wrong and whoever was involved in did should be held accountable. Anyone who breaks the law deserves counsel and should be treated fairly.

Our racial problems and income inequality go hand in hand. This is true with all people that don't make a minimum wage that allows them to lead a decent life. Working 2-3 jobs at minimum wage is a ridiculous and unhealthy way for anyone to live. These are people who wind up in emergency rooms very ill and have no insurance and the government/ private insurance companies have to pay for it. So much more expensive than making sure people have a decent wage and decent health insurance according to their ability to pay.

We have so much to work on with policing problems, immigration, climate change, and human rights. I could go on and on. I just know if we all work at it, we can agree to help each other out. We all bleed red blood and love this wonderful democracy and want to keep it.

Stay safe and keep writing.
