Just an image Prompt:
Like 6:20-23
20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

How do these differ from the beatitudes in Matthew 5? What can we take from these verses for ourselves?

Many of these prompts require some time to answer because i need to research them and do proper exegesis and hermeneutic on them. This is one of them. At face value it eludes at the believers reward in heaven for enduring persecution. Verses 20-21 however have a slightly different meaning. They refer to how believers are rewarded for focusing our attention on others. The believers here are poor because they choose to be. Peter, John, James, and Andrew all left lucrative fishing businesses to be penniless following Jesus. The women Mary and Martha were financially well off as well. They sacrificed their savings and personal needs to support Jesus and His disciples financially. There are scriptures to support this but as I said, it would take some time to research them. I suggest readers use a good study Bible and research the backgrounds of Jesus's disciples. Matthew is another one who gave up wealth to follow Jesus. Many of them did as many of us do today. I could easily be making $20.00 or more per hour right now. I choose to receive an income of $600.00 per month so I can work as a chaplain and a peer support specialist. I do so out of love. If I never receive an eternal reward, I receive plenty of reward here on Earth. God multiplies my $600.00 per month. I currently have $120.00 cash in my wallet and about as much in the bank. My needs are met so any cash I have is spending money. God takes care of me because I try to do His will. This scripture is basically saying that we do not need to be concerned with worldly cares if we do God's will. God will reward us both now and eternally.

For my blog I just reported back to the bridge today after a short break for sickness and school. I found that (2728) had the bridge in top condition and I thank her for handling things for me.

Today on my way back, I found a star I had forgotten about. (1537) has been a fixture in the WDC galaxy for sometime. In

she talks about wondering if she'll ever recover. Have you ever been in a place where you wondered if there was any hope? What did you do?

I have been in the dark place Choconut ~ Dragon Tamer is talking about and could easily go there again. You see, I have bi-polar disorder, which is a type of mood disorder characterized by bouts of depression and swings of severe mania. I have been out of Neudexta and Rexalti, the medications I take to treat my bi-polar, for about two weeks because of the pandemic and bureaucratic screw ups. So I am on thin ice. I am hoping the medications come in today. The prescriptions were supposed to have been faxed to the pharmacy three days ago. I am on the phone with the pharmacy as I type this to see what the hold up is. They are saying that I should receive the Rexalti today but that they still have not received the prescription for the Neudexta, which is the heavy hitter for my bi-polar disorder. I am currently stable but can others have noticed differences in my behavior that indicate I am sliding backwards. I refuse to allow bi-polar disorder to rule my life. One thing that immensely helps me when I do not have medication is staying active and investing myself into others. I am a chaplain, peer support specialist, fllor leader at my domicile, and a graduate student. I stay plenty busy and am disciplined enough to get things done even if I am depressed. I will be fine.

I don't know much about April fool's day. I assume it is a pagan tradition. Since I am Christian I choose not to observe it.

Blog City image small Prompt: April Fools Day. Write about April Fool's Day in your Blog entry today.
