'Abdu'l-Baha Celebrates
the Declaration of the Bab1

On the day
commemorating the Declaration of the Bab,
'Abdu'l-Baha--
Servant of the Glory--
himself
served the guest,
who represented all religions.

This feast,
celebrated at the Supreme Spot--
the Tomb of the Bab--
and beneath the shade
of the Blessed Beauty2,
was proclaimed "The Lord's Sustenance"
by 'Abdu'l-Baha.

Immortal echoes
of this feast reverberated--
from past to present
and into the future--
from Mount Carmel
and across the Earth
to become
a world wide Holy Day celebration.

Today
on every continent
Baha'is celebrate the Bab's Declaration,
with sustenance
for both body and soul.
