Always With Us:
To 'Abdu'l-Baha

He is always with us
watching us from the Abha Paradise,
and--
when our prayers are unselfish--
coming to our assistance
in dreams
or other ways.

He is always with us
in the written memories
of those who met him
and those
who accompanied him
in his travel.

He is always with us
in the transcripts
of the talks he gave,
the prayers he revealed,
and the tablets or epistles
he wrote.

He is always with us
encouraging us
to overcome our egos
free ourselves
from the superstitions
of the past,
and to build God's Kingdom on Earth.
