| Prompt: Dropping the Kid Gloves- You've been called upon to create a whole new frock for Alice on her grand adventure. It's time to bring your designing skills {or lack of} to the table. I always thought it would be fun to be a Dress Designer. I watch The Bold And The Beautiful and I love that show. I enjoy their fashion shows. I wear Kate Spade jewelry and carry her purses. Okay. I am going to design something for Alice. The blue and white jumper dress is nice but Dorothy in Oz wore a dress like her. Okay, Alice. I am going to make lavender capris for Alice. They have a zipper and button at the top, no flare legs. They aren't denim. Just regular material. The capris have no decorations on them. I am making a square neck top blouse. The blouse has quarter length sleeves. The top will be lavender with butterflies and rhinestones. I hope the caterpillar doesn't get jealous. Two applique butterflies and they are small and purple with blue eyes. I think Alice will look cute. A lavender flower headband completes the outfit. I had another idea. A long short sleeve sundress. The dress is white chiffon with blue and orange butterflies on the top and a few lavender flowers. The middle of the dress has two lavender ribbons, separate around the waist. The dress flares out at the bottom and have big, bright purple and pink flowers at the bottom. The end of the dress by the hem has small pink and lavender flowers varied with green leaves. The back of the dress has purple flowers. The dress just slips on over the the head. A zipper might be too confining for Alice. The dress will bounce when Alice moves making her a cute little girl. I kept in mind I am dressing an eight year old girl. Alice needs shoes. I was thinking of lavender patent leather shoes or purple jellybean shoes or ballerina slippers. I thought of white colored patent leather shoes but she would probably get dirty. If I wanted to keep this simple, I could dress Alice in blue jeans with butterfly decorations and a short sleeve top with no sleeves that is pink with pink butterflies. I had thought of having Alice wear a lavender, lacy hat but I don't see Alice wearing hats. I like head bands and hats with decorations so this is why I am having Alice wear head bands. I love lavender so this is why I made two of Alice's outfits in lavender. I could have Alice carry a lavender purse but she would probably lose it in Wonderland. I have a small black Alice In Wonderland purse with tea pots on it and a matching cosmetics bag. No, she's not borrowing mine! I had thought of having Alice wear short white, dressy gloves but they would probably get dirty. These are my ideas on how to dress Alice. What do you think? 500 Words |
