| November 14, 2022, 5:15pm Hey, here's a tip! Want to crack 10k words in a day? Go to the only local and very busy laundromat with 2 loads of clothes. 2 wash cycles, followed by 2 drying cycles meant I spent over 2 hours there (one machine allowed to be used per person... but I had to wait for a dryer to become empty). But I could plug in and type, and in that time I managed to churn out a quick-fire 4k words. Then I got home, could hardly walk (my knee became swollen again), and was stuck on a chair for another few hours. Well, after some editing and re-writing, I have finished for the day and my third 10k day. And, more to the point, I've cracked 90k words. I'm about to write the big rousing final scene, the battle between the humans (?) and the demon, and so I want to spend a day just doing that. So... almost finished, I guess. Then I'll have to write something else... |
