Time Out
Calm ocean stretches out
As far as the eye can see.
I walk across the expanse of sand
Dropping into a swing hammock
That rocks gently in the breeze.
The heat, so powerful,
It saps my strength
Leaving me lethargic
And not interested in doing anything
But lay here
And let time pass me by.
Such is this vacation.
As you can see I am no longer interested in those kind of vacations... I want stimulation that gets my creative juices flowing... this does not. When I was married these were the trips we took and I did love them, but they were not creatively stimulating like going to Nova Scotia or Scotland. I love the history and the land and the day to day life of people... who are not just there to serve you at your resort.
