An Average Day
The day is nothing spectacular,
But I am grateful for it just the same.
I wake up and breathe.
I get up and move.
I have work to do that fulfills me
And gives me purpose.
I have my writing which is my place of solace
Where I can make sense of the rest of it.
I have food on the table
And a roof over my head.
I have family and friends
And enough money to be comfortable.
Life is good.
It's not always easy,
But it can be faced
One day at a time
With grace and faith.
