NOTHING LEFT TO LIVE FOR

I’ve nothing left to live for since you left me behind
Nothing left to strive for, you were my peace of mind
Going on doesn’t come as easily as most deem it to be
Did they realize you were more than just a best friend to me?
I’ve nothing left to live for, no one who seemingly shares the pain
Only our cherished memories keep me trudging along again
You were my immortal, only the Good Lord and you
You were my inspiration, what we shared was true
I’ve nothing left to live for, the fight in me is gone
Only faith that things will become easier keep me alive and strong
I don’t have a death wish, it’s just that I feel numb inside
For a major portion of my heart collapsed when you died
I’ve nothing left to live for, no strength to fight the tears
When recalling all of the good times we shared throughout the years
I know our hearts will forever go on, yet still as hard as I try
The tears never diminish, all I seem to do these days is cry
I’ve nothing left to live for, although I know you’re in a better place
The pain I feel within will be felt until my dying day
A broken heart, a troubled mind, and a bleeding soul
Are what was left behind when you had to go
I’ve nothing left to live for except knowing you’d want that for me
And the realization that we’ll meet again, that it’s our destiny
No, I don’t have a death wish, only feel a loneliness and pain
That is only alleviated knowing one day we’ll meet again
