DON'T HOLD BACK: a sonnet



Though you weigh heavy in my every thought
Yet you are not a burden on my heart.
Before meeting you I was so distraught,
I knew not where in life to make a start.

My days were spent hiding from all my shame.
I spent my nights dwelling in the time past.
A ray of hope I had not till you came.
I hope this light is now going to last.

Please don’t hold back your love from me my love.
No more heartbreaks in life I can endure.
I pray that he may guide us from above,
That our love may be abiding and pure.

Let this moment our love be cemented
Lest by some evil we be prevented.
