Mina
I am Mina. I am Dracula's first wife. Not an ex-wife. I am his first of three wives. Yes, Dracula has three wives. I was nineteen and working as a bar maid in a Pub in Romania. I met Dracula while I was working there one night. He was handsome, rich and sophiscated. I wondered what a man like him was doing at a Pub. It was obvious that he was rich. I was from a poor family whose mother had died of an illness when I was eight. My father was always drunk and abusive. I endured it until I was twelve and Mr. and Mrs. Carene took me in and I worked for them at their Pub. It was a better life then I had with my father. They supported me when I got to be of age and I got my own apartment. It was a living. I met Dracula and he wined me and dined me. He never ate much. He was always nice to me until he took my virginity. He turned me into a vampire. He was the perfect gentleman and had asked me to be his wife. I was so happy. I got to see his castle and it was somewhat dark but beautiful. I never saw him in the daylight. I thought I was going to live a life of royalty. I was wrong. As soon as we were married, he stuck his fangs in my neck and told me I was going to be a vampire. He said he was one. I learned that a vampire lives on human blood and sleeps in a casket in the daytime. I was shocked. I was in love with Dracula. Handsome vampire. Dark black hair and dark eyes to match. I was a fool. I couldn't have a normal life and children. I accepted my fate. Dracula started to cheat with a woman named Countess who was a Countess. At first, I thought he was just using her for blood. He told me she was going to be his second wife. She was going to be a vampire and live with us. I hated her on sight but she was a victim, too. A rich woman of society who had to give up her life of riches. I decided she had to be my best friend. Dracula had charmed her, too and took her virginity and life of luxury. Dracula had two wives. Me with dark hair and the Countess a blonde. We became friends and were in love with Dracula. We had no choice. There was no way out. We were predators and monsters like him. Dracula had been around for a lot of years and was experienced. We had to learn from him. Maybe death would be better for the Countess and me. Dracula bought home another wife. Lucy. An opera singer. She, too had been seduced by Dracula. We were married to Dracula seperately by a friend, some so called minister friend of Dracula's. He was evil just like Dracula. I no longer loved Dracula but I feared him and made the best of my life. If he loved anyone of us, it was Lucy. Lucy loved him. The Countess and I got along with Lucy but we didn't say anything bad about Dracula around her. Lucy and Dracula made love all the time. It was disgusting but at least he left the Countess and I alone. Lucy can have him. I have fallen in love with a human man I met named Nicholas. He loves me, too but I can never be with him. I have drank his blood twice. He doesn't realize I am a vampire but I would turn him in a heartbeat if I could but Dracula is so selfish that he would never allow it. He would probably kill him or both of us. I see Nicholas when I can and he is my lover. I have to be careful that Lucy doesn't know. The Countess has kept my secret so far. Wife number one. This sucks.
