Epitaph of a Mystic Poet
No longer a slave to matters strife,
My soul sits under the Tree of Life,
Composing odes to God’s Glory,
And recounting faith’s transformative story.

Line count: 4
Form: Epitaph, a brief poem inscribed on a tombstone praising the departed, this poem usually rhymes. This comes from the Greek and means “upon the tomb”
