Three More Days in 2013
There are only three days left in December and in 2013. Soon a New Year full of potential will begin, so I have to finalize my 2014 resolutions goals before midnight December 31, 2013. I'm not sure I'm ready for 2014, but ready or not it's on its way; therefore, I need to take a deep breath, fix me something for today's first breakfast (I like the Hobbit custom of two breakfasts), and say a couple of prayer before I begin finalizing my 2014 goals.

I want 2014 to be the new normal I thought I began in 2013 (see "Trapped in Insanity: A Review 2013). I know I have to do things differently in the coming year because I can't go on doing the same things the same way and expecting different results. I know one thing I have to do is stop updating my Facebook status half-a-dozen times a day (see "2013 and Beyond) because it's a time waster and an addiction. I do want to start a Facebook page about my writing to go along with the website I'm starting in 2014 and this means I have to update that page once or twice a day; however, I'm going to start planning my status updates a little more carefully.

I have to plan my writing a little more carefully in 2014. I have to start printing out hard copies of things I submit to contest and other places. I've noticed for some time that when I'm composing on the computer and don't print something out I miss words, put wrong tenses, or some other grammar problem that I could catch by just taking a little more time. Not that I have a lot of time anyway, but a few seconds or minutes checking grammar or spelling isn't going to cause much of a problem time wise. I think on solution is to use the oven timer I have on my desk a bit more often. At least, that would help with part of the time problem and I could use the oven timer to sit a time limit when I'm on my Facebook because the most I can sit the timer at is one hour.

In addition, I think I waste too much time procrastinating, which may be why I spend so much time on Facebook because it's a way to use time without thinking I'm procrastinating. I have a lot ahead of me in 2014 so the only thing I can do is set my goals, make my plans, say my prayers, and work to get something accomplished before December 31, 2014 rolls around.
