If you love someone, you are their lover and friend and if you would die for them, you are more then a friend. Messiah? I feel this is reserved for Jesus. I never got the lyrics but I do love this song and I love when he sings it at the end of "Purple Rain." His dancing and singing makes you sing and dance with him. A lot of times with songs, I just love the beat and try not to think of the lyrics when I don't agree with them. Go with the flow and let the music take you wherever. I am sure every singer has songs like that. Love the beat, forget the lyrics. His songs from "Purple Rain" are the best. I enjoy watching him and my husband told his father years ago that I was in love with Prince. His father laughed. I loved Prince. When Prince sings this song, he looks at Apollonia and she is smiling and pointing at him. This movie is a great love story in spite of the problems with Prince's parents, Morris Day and it is a great movie. I never get tired of watching it. Back to the song. I would die for someone I loved. I think everyone would. I want to play this song and dance. Thank you, Prince again for the music. Love you always.  |
