I remember soft breezes on
spring-chilled nights,

I remember blue sky, birds on
         wing, flowers that gave me
proof of spring.

I remember a kiss, a tender embrace,
I remember a thrill of love, a joy of
         life, laughter touching
No pain nor strife.

I remember the feel of satin on
         lace as
I remember each and every place.

Why do I not remember your face?
