The Experiences of Steven

I’ve written a letter for snail mail. Haven’t done that in a while. I’ve also cranked out a short story. I haven’t done that in a while either. Of course, I need to practically rewrite the whole thing. The original didn’t take long to scribble and will serve primarily as inspiration to the final draft. That’s not unusual for me. I’ll get to it today, hopefully.

My daughter is trying her red velvet cupcake recipe again as I type. This time she is being careful not to mix up cups with teaspoons when she adds the vinegar. She almost lost her baking privileges yesterday due to an incident involving tiny Styrofoam balls and green food coloring. Her fingers are green, but I did recover the Styrofoam that she had destined for my kitchen sink drain. There was a verbal reprimand issued.

Well, I’m off to empty the dish washer. It will be to be needed badly after the cupcake event is over. My daughter’s idea of cleaning up after herself doesn’t extend much past filling the sink with tragically messy dishes. I hope the food coloring is at least contained to one area. Wish me luck.

I know this isn’t much of an entry, but if I wish to be a writer then write I must. Bye for now.
