What I Need...

I need to laugh today.
I woke up to a house full of pain
I stubbed my toe on the wheelchair
That’s always in the way

I need to cry today
My precious pet is sick
I found out a family member --
it won't be same without her.

I really need a hug today
My life is on stress overdrive
not like it was you and I
I miss our good times.

I need my friend today
My husband just doesn’t get it
and the kids are too self-absorbed.
I feel so alone

I need my friend today
The one that gets it
The one that loves me anyway
