PROMPT 2: ROMANCE IN GOT WITH HAPPY ENDING STORY

Every time he laid eyes on her something fluttered deep down inside. He knew she would never reciprocate his feelings, yet he couldn’t help giving her longing looks and teasing her in passing. In all his days, he’d never seen any other woman quite like her. From her short blonde hair to the eyes that could spear one into place with just a polar glance, to the way she wielded her sword with precision and strength, yes, Brienne of Tarth was everything all wrapped up perfectly beneath her armor. He had no doubts that the right kind of man could unleash her womanly desires, and he was just the man to do it.

Getting her alone would prove tricky as she stuck close to Sansa and Arya, always watching, protective, her pledge to the Starks strong indeed. It if wasn’t for Jon, he probably would’ve never crossed paths with the intriguing beauty, but here he was, welcomed at Winterfell, keeping him in close proximity to Brienne.

“You fight well,” Tormund said. He’d caught her unawares just inside the keep and was able to walk up behind her easily.

Brienne turned fast, those eyes doing their thing, sending that shiver right down his spine, but this time he wouldn’t let them control her. He wanted her, in the worst sort of way. Even if he died trying, enjoying that woman would all be worth it.

“Giantsbane,” she said standing taller, “I didn’t see you there.”

He smiled, loving the way she said his name, almost raspy with desire. He could imagine it, her need brimming in those eyes, though she tried to hide it. He moved forward as Brienne backed into the stone wall and rested a hand flat against the cool rock, right beside her face. “Tormund.”

She squinted for the briefest moment, looked up at him as questions floated in the depths of those blue pools. “What do you mean?”

“Call me Tormund,” he rasped, just above a whisper as he leaned down, his lips hovered just inches from hers. She swallowed hard he noticed, and the thought that he could rattle her even a little bit made him smile. “I’ve been watching you.”

Just like that, as if a switch went off inside of her, that pride and strength returned full force. “You needn’t worry about me.”

“Have you ever wondered?” Tormund asked.

“About?”

Her lips hung open, too inviting to pass up. “This.” Before he could stop himself, his lips pressed into hers, crushing, devouring and claiming. At first, his lady love remained frigid, fighting it, and then suddenly, Brienne of Tarth wrapped those strong arms around him, pulling him close, holding him tight against her. Excitement zinged right through him as their heated kiss deepened, the intensity of this all-consuming passion about to melt the snow of Winter that fell all around them. Her fingers delved into his hair, stroking the back of his head, a light massage that had him wanting to bed her right then and there.
