The Game of Thrones
consumes my August days.
Leaving me in a blurry haze.
My fingers cramp,
My boss on a rant,
Yet my pen beckoned,
in a world of chaos
My pen a mighty wand,
I took verse and story
a step beyond.
Can you hear my elation?
Taking my place, I show
Alliteration, determination
As I pound the keys,
tell the tales,
chew my fingernails.
It all comes to an end soon
enough.
but will I survive
the Game of Thrones?
