We live much of life amid unique choices. Joy is anchored in The One beyond our life.

Dishes to Clean
Piles of messy used
dishes in the sink.
Tomatoes refused
are starting to stink.

A friend lifts them up
to rub off the crust.
Last night we did sup.
E’en memories have dust.

The dishes in line
do soldier their posts.
The cups are quite fine.
Battalions to boast.

The silver could melt
‘mid water so hot.
Utensils have telt
the plight that they got.

The music so soft,
the swishing so warm,
lifts spirit aloft
away from all harm.

The finish I see
as runner of miles.
What joy it can be
past watchers, he files!

The soap of the task
will wash quite away
the reasons we ask
for moment's delay.
