Was the gift practical or whimsical? My husband who was my boyfriend back then bought me 3 gifts for our first Christmas. A red velvet purse, a blue plaid blanket and a necklace of some kind. I told him about the purse I wanted at the store along with a necklace. I didn't really think he would buy me the purse but he did. Since my Birthday is 4 days before Christmas, he bought me a ring that said Love with the o being a diamond. I got him a mens comb and brush set, wallet, after shave and a couple of dress shirts.
