"December 4, 2018"     Prompt: "Use these random Christmas words in your blog: snowflakes, dolls, wrapping, paper, pine, sales, greetings, and celebrate. Have fun!"You're making me use my brain already this morning! This could be a good thing though because I have a presentation and a final exam at school today so I need to wake up! At least it will be Christmas break soon. I just hope there are no snowflakes this year. I hate snow. Dolls I don't mind. I never played with them but I guess they have their purpose. I have noticed the shiny wrapping paper this year. The pine trees of course are my favorite because they are green year round. The sales of fir trees is up this year I think. I send everybody a Christmas greetings. Let's celebrate! "Prompt: What would improve your hometown? Can you convince your town’s officials to make a change that would improve your neighborhood?"I don't want to sound conceited but I think it would improve my hometown if I was back in it. The town I now call home is not and never will be my hometown. It's just the place I live. My hometown is 2 hours north of me and I miss it. I have often longed to go back but I know there is nothing there for me any more. Since my wife died everything has become bleak in my hometown. My son doesn't even live there anymore. So there's really nothing there for me but it will always be home.    |
