Laura took Brian to his first pediatric appointment.
“Let’s see how he’s doing.” The young, good-looking pediatrician checked him, finally laying him on a scale. “He seems underweight. Do you breast-feed or bottle-feed him?”
“Breast-feed.”
“Please, remove your top.”
Laura did and he examined her breasts with cold hands that prodded and cupped. “Are you aware that you’re not producing milk?”
Laura grinned. “Absolutely. I’m his grandmother … but I’m glad I came.”
