We live much of life amid unique choices. Joy is anchored in The One beyond our life. |
Joy to the world, the Lord is come. How awful our sin, the part, the sum. The King has come to change every life, to give us great hope, erase all our strife. Joy to the Earth, the Savior reigns! O'er sins awful deeds, salvation He gains. Once born in a cave, He lay swaddled in hay. Once wrapped in a tomb, He lives forever, today. No more let sins and sorrows grow. He, the baby, our Savior, sin's Victor, you know. He came as our Brother. The church is His bride. The grave could not hold Him. No more will He hide. He rules the world with truth and grace. No moment of sin will ever efface by slander of men, nor vestige of pride our place in His heart or our Day by His side. The saints and the angels are listening Above to see what we do with His great gift of love. Most of Heaven a gasp on the day, that He died, but rising, again, brought the cheer, that they cried. When He rides back to Earth on His horse shining white, He will punish the lost, for the saved put all right. In this time now receive what he paid for your sin. Give Him place in your heart with your spirit to win. The sounding joy forever repeats. The found curse of sin salvation deletes. All flora and fauna are singing His praise. All humans He bought, He is bound yet to raise. Come, you men of the Earth. He brings joy to the world. Empty cross, empty grave see His banner unfurled. The day will soon pass to make you redeemed. If you would know hope, know He's all, that he seemed. by Jay O'Toole on December 5th, 2019 |
