Happy is a Choice
Happy to be on the Earth.
Happy for the real and lasting birth.
Happy for the joy, that the birth of Jesus brings.
Happy for the happiness, that makes me sing and sing.

Happy joy, happy gladness, happy fills the heart.
Happy now, happy then, happy from the start.
Happy to the store and back. Happy at my house.
Happy for my daughter's smile. Happy for my spouse.

Happy is a happy word. Happy's filled with light.
Happy can't sing any blues. Happy sees no night.
Happy runs around the world, playing in the sun.
Happy paints each face a smile, restarts when it is done.

Happy smiles at Christmas trees, exults at empty tombs,
brings joy amid the afterbirth, new life from empty wombs.
Happy in the happy dance. Happy in the song.
Happy grasps your waiting hand, hope to sing along.

Happy sips a cup of tea, smiles as day is new.
Happy sits with friends awhile. That's me and that is you.
Happy warms the winter's day. Happy swings 'mid springtime's blooms.
Happy cools the pate in summer's heat. Happy dives in autumn's outdoor rooms.

Happy now for earthly days.
Happy e'er for lasting praise.
Happy for the Creator rare.
Happy to receive His care.

Happy bows before the Joy he knows will always last.
Happy serves great health to bring in merry-hearted task.
Happy knows good happenings are why we happy are.
Happy smiles, that living Joy lives well beyond each star.
