Week 6 Desolation
Desolation

I once swung open,
my hinges were pliable,
my panes clear,
paint fresh,
and comfort and laughter
waited on the other side.

Now on the edge of humanity,
closed, hinges frozen,
panes crusted with dirt,
weathered by neglect and time,
devoid of promise,
I stand alone.
