the anthem
I hear the anthem again
they want to fill your empty soul
with crap
they want to override your brain
with the construct of their messages
in words you don't accept
but can comprehend
The anthem is just outside
singing beautiful, hollow tunes
of distraction
they want to fill your heart
but how could they
transparent like ghosts
who could never fully reveal themselves
otherwise you would be too close
to witness
corruption

you're not losing me
if you never had me

narcissism will not accept defeat

yeah, sure
let's say I'm the one
so we can end the conflict
