Just an image Prompt: "I had a good Bible study last night that ran later than usual so I did not get the prompt out. Here it is.

How can fidelity in a relationship be a reflection of the kind of relationship God wants to have with us?"

The answer to this question elicited a lot of Biblical answers from my class last night and I expect that I will see similar answers from most of the bloggers today. The answer is really a theological answer that takes some explaining.

When God created everything He did so to spread His love and the joy that this love brought Him to others. First He created the angels so He could share His love with the angels. Angels are free-will creatures just as we are, but angels are immortal. Corruption was found among the angels and one-third were expelled from Heaven. God, being God, wanted even more creatures to love who could love Him in return. He created man to love Him. Man rebelled and sin entered man. The man then became what Augustine and Luther called "homo incurvatus in se" or focused inward. This inward focus or inward curved thinking put man's attention only on self. God however wanted our focus to be on others. We were not to worry about our own needs. Others were to care for our needs as we cared for the needs of others. Fidelity in a relationship puts the needs of the other first. It wants only the very best for its object. It loves its object more than it loves self. This restores the focus God intended.

For my blog I had a meeting at a starbase last night that ran over so I did not get the prompt out on time. No apologies or excuses, just an explanation.

On the way back from the starbase and cruising through WDC galaxy in cyberspace, I encountered a star that I wanted to explore. The star had several planets surrounding it and sensors detected music on one of those planets. I investigated and found a lyrical poem.

Medusa the Snake Headed Monster  (E)
A poem about Medusa I wrote in Latin class (2000) for Christmas/Halloween.

Do you believe in monsters? (Please don't get political here.)

I can just see this prompt becoming a monster in and of itself as a Republican blogger says that Biden and Harris are monsters or a Democrat blogger rips Trump and Pence apart before Tuesday's election. I hope we don't do that.

I believe there are some terrible things in this world such as tornadoes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters that can be monsters. As to mythical creatures like Medusa, Kraken, or the monster under the bed, I do not believe exist. I do know that God is in control of everything though and He controls the demons that would become real monsters if left unchecked.

My time in high school was a nightmare for me. I lived in a house with no running water. In short, I had serious hygiene issues and the teens were merciless. Teachers were just as bad. I actually had a fistfight with one teacher and a principal. I hated high school and could not get out soon enough. My high school even cheated me. They illegally took away 17 of my earned credits for missing school. I lived at the junction of two creeks and when it flooded I could not cross them to get to school. The days should have been automatically excused. They were not and I was held back a year. I dropped out and got my GED. The Board of Education called me a few decades later and asked how they could "fix" their mistake. I told them they could do so by giving me back the credits they illegally took from me, which combined with what I already had would make me a graduate. They said they could not do so since I already had my GED. I hung up on them.

Since then I have earned two associate degrees and two bachelor's degrees. I am now an honor student at Regent University in the M. Div program.

Trump defeats Biden by a landslide!!!
