End of Day Repose
Soft and quiet flows the air.
Slowly daylight fades.
Gentle in His loving care,
wings are truest shades.

Honking comes from flying geese,
Swooshing from the cars.
Color lights do always please
the depths of heart by far.

The grass, a blanket for the night
to cover dirt and root.
A rumbling stillness dons each light
as waiting owls hoot.
