A Whole Lot Better Than Yesterday

     It was about twenty-one hours ago that I got I found out what the next WDC short story contest was. I thought that it might be this one. But it was a toss-up between this and the Short Shot contest. Now that I know I can start to write it. In fact, I already have.

     I found out about it just before I went to sleep. By the time I fell to sleep about fifteen minutes later, I already had the story written in my head. If I would have had a recorder handy, I would have it all written by now. But I didn’t. luckily, I remembered what have in my mind when I started writing it today. Unfortunately, I didn’t get too much of it written so far.

     What is the usual reason why I don’t get as much writing done as I do on my days off? That’s right. It’s because of what my brother and I needed to get done that day. Those were one of those days. We didn’t need to do a lot today. But what needed to be done took us up until the middle of the afternoon.

     Of course, I would have gotten to it a little sooner if I had gotten up earlier that day. But I didn’t. As a result, I only got about a fourth of it written today. Which is very, very good considering I only had a few hours to work on it. At least I think that it was good.
