snowdrops
promise of spring,
snowdrops, white in green on white,
poke through last snowdrifts.

April 3—A welcome surprise, a haiku

sometimes I miss snow and snowdrops and lilacs (we get magnolias but it isn't the same). Then I remember how much I dislike the cold.
