Proverbs 3

Prompt: April 28, 2021
Proverbs 3:3-4
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4 So shalt thou find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

How do we write mercy and truth on the table of our heart?

Mercy is a good thing to contemplate. Mercy for one person may be wrong for another. Like lack of rain in a place saturated and running over with water may be merciful. For a barren dry spot rain is needed.

Truth should always win out. Where I live some people believe in lying. Living and spreading lies is a way of life to them. Sometimes, a person tells it the way they experienced it and it may appear as a lie, but is really the truth for that person. Sometimes truth has to be hunted; like a treasure.

So, if you find real truth and mercy it should be stored within you, so you can use it to spread to others who may be seeking mercy and truth. Spreading these two elements can change nations.
