Ancestral Home:
To 'Abdu'l-Baha

Born on May 23, 1844,
in his father's mansion in Tehran;
his ancestral home
was the Provence of Nur--
the Provence of Light.

He spent his early childhood
sometimes in Tehran
and sometime at the country estate
in Nur.

At eight
his life suddenly changed.

His father,
Baha'u'llah,
along with other Babis
was imprisoned in the Síyáh-Chál--
the Black Pit of Tehran.

In 1853.
Baha'u'llah
and his family
were sent into exile
and 'Abdu'l-Baha
never saw his ancestral home again.
