What the Blind Man Taught Me
Wired to electromagnetic
Life shines with voltaic glows
Learning from lightning and static
We light the night with what we know

We never really made a fuss
When street lamps shut out the stars
When our bubble closed around us
Imprisoning souls in neon bars

A blind man that I know
Says the universe is large
That to see it we must grow
Beyond our galvanic charge

He says that 95 per cent
Of the mass of creation
Is unseen, so our vision's bent
Into patterns of light fixation

We do not see what is there
And so we close our eyes
To look like a blind man stares
And become truly wise
