An Archive of poems I have written

My Mama don't love me
Eighteen years of trying
But you've still not got it right
Can't you see I'm crying
When I cuddle you at night

I am purring in your presence
Mama, you still don't understand
I have shown a lot of patience
You're so clumsy with that hand

You need to stroke me here
You need to scratch me there
You miss the spot you hear
I am not a teddy bear

A cat has needs and you
Are required to love me
So I push close and true
Can't you hear my plea

Mama, you need to learn to love me
Much better than you do
I will hang on until I see
The message gets through to you.
