The Joy of the Lord
My heart is full and overflowing
Eyes full of light I am glowing
Rejoice in Him and see
Shadows overcome by glee

I have been so long a thirsting
For this joy with which I'm bursting
Hear the song I cannot contain
It brings the sun in place of rain

May my children walk in his ways
Live for Him all their days
Not evildoers who would destroy
Rather cheerful givers of eternal joy

God is my strength and my shield
In this hope, I will never yield
To those who mourn and grieve
Good news comes if you believe
