Nickname: Iliaster is something of a loner, partly because he moves around often, and partly because he identifies the intimacy of a friendship with risk of being discovered to have psychic abilities.

Religion/Religious Background:

Iliaster has risen to the third grade - that of Miles. This means he has been tattooed on the forehead with a crossed sun.

Social Class:

Iliaster's father was a fisherman, and one of the earliest manifestations of Iliaster's abilities was his being able to correctly predict storms.

Education:

Iliaster worked with his father as a child, but his quick intelligence was noticed by a local priest, who undertook to educate Iliaster, and to bring him into the church.
