It wasn't hard to figure it out. The instructions are on a single picture card with a lawyer type legal pamphlet of the device... in 10 languages. The card should have been all I needed, but sometimes I want a little more than that. Like, does it use both WiFi frequencies? Can I have a second TV setup on another dongle?
I looked it up on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromecast and read the whole site. The install went smoothly,... except it took over an hour because my Internet connection went down twice.
Wife saw it... "You bought that for Alexa, didn't you."
It appears the real gift will be paying for the streaming services she'll want to get.

The trek was on wet ground, overcast but not raining, 47°F, and no wind.
I saw a neighbor for the first time today. A guy, at one of those immaculate well kept houses, was splitting a pile of wood in his driveway. Just dumped there this morning. Too bad he didn't move it inside the garage first. Now it's wet, slippery, and dangerous... not the wood, but the axe. Probably no room because there's something stupid (like a car) inside the garage. I waved to him, but he ignored me.
I maintain our house pretty good. Mowed the meadow (front yard) 3 times this summer. Don't want to overdue it because the local flora is just barely eking out a living there. Had the soil tested years ago... wasn't soil, just sand, no nutrients at all. The rains wash most soil off the slope. It's taken 30 years but some hearty weeds are now covering about half of it. At least they are sort of green (some of the time).
