Mother Mary, born without sin,
pray for me. These tarot cards are new, slippery,
fall from my hands like your grace.
Today, the seven of swords.
I slog through the world's minefield,
carrying unnecessary burdens,
when these swords
these seven sorrows
might slice through them all
and free me.
