Tomorrow
Tomorrow

Time rushes on,
always grasping for the morrow,
believing the day will come
and the past forever forgiven.

Today steals the gift from our hands
and tomorrow recedes,
evasion triumphant
and promise renewed.

“If tomorrow were today,
it would be yesterday.” *

* From the album Ogden’s Nut Gone Flake by the Small Faces (RIP Steve Marriott).
