Looking Not for Writing

Mondays used to be for either my short stories or my second scriptwriting project, The Final Ritual, because it was my first day off from work. But today it wasn’t. I wanted to start writing my WDC Short Story for this month today. Only I couldn’t do it. Why couldn’t I get any writing done on this Short Story today?

It’s because I have spent the whole day looking for work. It started very early this morning when I got a call about the security job that I applied for last Friday. Unfortunately, I didn’t get it because of my limitations. I also didn’t hear back from who I used to work for either. But I’m not surprised about that. Didn’t expect to hear anything from them. After all, they are giving me the runaround. And I know why they are doing it.

When I got turned down from the one job I applied for, I did a google search. And guess what I found. A whole lot of jobs in this area that I could apply for. I also found quite a few other jobs too. But some of them I can’t apply for. And the ones I can, I can’t do because of my limitations. I’m not sure if I will apply to my old company or not. I don’t think it will do any good. They will just continue to give me the runaround.

I also did some checking on the clerk and clerical positions because there is a very good chance, I’m not going to be able to work in security anymore. And I did find a lot of them. But they are mostly for non-clerk or clerical work. How they got in my search, I don’t know. Also, I checked out the WorkForce Center in my city. True, I haven’t gone in to see them yet. But I’m going to do it tomorrow.

Unfortunately, it took me almost the whole day to do all this. As a result, I didn’t get any writing done today on either my WDC Short Story or my second scriptwriting project, The Final Ritual. I’m hoping that I can work on at least one of them tomorrow. Especially, my WDC Short Story for this month. I want to work on my scriptwriting too. But my top priority right now is this Short Story. After all, I only have twenty-five more days to write it.

Will I continue to work on my writing after I get this blog entry written and posted? That’s what I want to do. And what I need to do. But I probably won’t. Mostly because of the lack of sleep I got last night. Because of getting up early today, I only got about six hours of sleep. I’m not feeling very tired right now. But I probably will be going to sleep soon after I post this blog entry.
