cascade
lilacs stretching out to the horizon
wind flowing through the tiny lavender petals
windows open to the evening zephyr
the light scent of spring floating on the wind
mothers' day smell filling the window frames
through the kitchen flows the scent of early summer
washing over the old scent of fresh-baked cookies
the smell of late winter fires washed away by the smell
mothballs and pine cleaner went with the fresh flowery smell
none of the odors left by pets could stand against the freshness
A fresh bouquet of spring trimmed from the forest of flowers
reinforcing the waves of scent from outside
