Midnight Loneliness
Midnight Loneliness

I listen to the wind,
whispering through the autumn trees
shaking their multicolored leaves
onto the cold pavement.

It is midnight,
your memory slips into my mind
hiding today's happiness
like storm clouds hide the moonlight.

I am alone!
Forgotten and forlorn
I wait for dawn to adorn
my day with hope.
