The Golden Centaur
Lo and behold
Out of a legend
Was born a centaur
Golden in color

He could whistle
And sing
Chant magic
And more

But his favorite trait of all
Was his wisdom
And freedom
Freedom to do good

One day a boy ran across him
Running away from some thieves
And this centaur protected him
From deep trouble indeed

So the boy became
The centaur's pride
As he learned wisdom
And returned to that spot

The thieves came
But the boy was prepared
And chased the thieves away
In the name of the golden Centaur

The thieves sought revenge though
And captured the golden Centaur
The boy heard the news
And came running after

Meanwhile the golden Centaur was calm
Knowing what to do
To empower his freedom
He needed to break free from the chains

The young boy now a man
Scrambled with all of his might
To rescue his hero
And bring freedom once more

Just a click here and a click there
The chains fell loose
But now the golden Centaur faced
A barrier to blast out of

The man found the thieves once more
This time his mentor's life at stake
"Let him be free!" He begged.
It ended in laughter

A fairy flew in on the good side
Worked her magic
The door flew open
And out came the golden Centaur

"Free at last but you shall pay.
Feed the birds of the air and
The walking animals." A spell cast
And they became a pile of nuts.

"Never again will I expose you,"
The man began but got waved off.
"It wasn't your fault at all.
You did the right thing."
