This is a collection of poems told from fictional view points. They are not about me.

This Night
Thunder rolls across the land
as the rumble of hooves draws near.
Andy Blevins, the outlaw,
is grinning from ear to ear.

"Yeehaa," echoes into the hills,
startling the horses to shy,
the sound sent shivers down my spine
and I will tell you why.

I'm a simple man, just herding sheep,
don't do nobody no harm,
I got simple dreams of a quiet life,
maybe just workin' on a farm.

But this night I know my dreams will die
as sure as Andy shoots.
I can hear death as the band approach,
I'm a shaking in my boots.

He got the devil in his eyes, that boy,
but I'm a man of God, I am.
You'll win today, I'll bite the dust,
but you'll answer to God and Uncle Sam.
