Badness
***You all know what happened on Tuesday,
so there is no need for me to reiterate the
details.***

This definitely has to rack up to one of the
worser weekends of my life. Everyone around
me is either mad or sad. The world has been
turned upside down.

I just talked to my relatives in Florida. My uncle
Tom is from Lebanon, meaning more bluntly
he is Arabic. He hasn't gone into work since
Tuesday, for fear that something bad will
happen. His sister May had to take her kids
out of school for the week too, her youngest
son got beat up for being "a dirty Arab". His
parents are scrambling for plane tickets, they
want to back to Lebanon as soon as they can,
they feel it's safer there than here for them.

My uncle's family are American citizens, yet
because of their backgrounds, people feel that
violence towards them is exceptable. What
will you accomplish by beating up a 10 year
old that had nothing to do with the situation?
Just because his parents are Arabic...does
that mean he MUST have involved with the
WTC and Pentagon attacks?

Someone told me that people have been
looking in phone books from anything that has
anything to do with Arabs or Arabic and then
calling and making threats. A 70 woman was
called and threatened with death, she's a
translator of Arabic.

If I've ever had anything good to say here it is:
don't take your emotions, or at least your
feelings of revenge out on any f***ing random
person you see. That will accomplish nothing.

I've been fighting just about everyone about
every aspect of this disaster all week and I'm
guessing a lot of other people are in the same
situation. Let's just shut up now, ok? What's
done is done and what will be done is not our
decision to make. So what point is there now
to continue to debate over it all?

I wish you all peace
Vi auguro tutta la pace
Je vous souhaite toute la paix
Ich wünsche Ihnen allen Frieden
Eu desejo-lhe toda a paz
Le deseo toda la paz
