         Earlier this afternoon we received a letter from
lizpeake. It was not until we read the letter
that we realized the gravity of the situation here @ Stories.Com.
For your information, a full copy of the letter follows:

Dear StoryMaster and StoryMistress,

Please don't think I'm crazy but I really need to share something
with you.

Before I joined Stories.com in June of this year, I ran across a
posting in a public forum on the internet somewhere that mentioned
this place.

People in the forum were saying that this place is haunted! I know
it sounds ludicrous, but hear me out, okay?

They said that back in October, 2000 a group of Stories.com writers
went to a Writer's Workshop and never returned home. No one has
ever heard from them again!

Legend has it that these writers are haunting and lurking around
Stories.com, making sure that no one has stolen their writings that
they had posted here before they disappeared. Apparently, they do
this "haunting" the last 13 days of October, the exact number and
days that the search party looked for them.

This legend is one of the reasons I joined up! I just had to see
if it was true.

Just as I was beginning to think it was all hogwash, I began seeing
things.

Have you noticed, or has anyone else mentioned some weird things
happening with our Stories.com logo? I've seen cobwebs and a letter
turned backwards, and even a book missing altogether!

I'm a little concerned because I haven't seen either one of you
comment that you were aware of these happenings. Am I going
crazy? Is this place really haunted? Please tell me soon. I
don't want to think that I am delusional much longer!

Yes, we believe Stories.Com is haunted.

The spirits here love to chat and might try to contact some of
our Authors through open IM consoles. Don't be afraid, but don't
respond to them. Doing so is simply unsafe!
